Emergency Playback

Emergency Playback

If you don't manage to use the Emergency Playback capability of Media4Display, you need to make sure of a few simple things.
Make sure all the following conditions are true:
  1. The players in the chosen target are all Windows Players (at the moment of writing this KB article, only Windows Players are able to start an emergency playback)
  2. The players have to be connected with the server in TCP mode
  3. There must be a direct server to player connection OR a persistent connection through the gateway

In order to play something on the screen, you must also create some slides (you cannot directly set a playlist for emergency playback).

When starting an emergency playback, the server will connect to all players and distribute the content set in the slide. If you want real emergency response, pay attention to keep the content small enough to be transmitted quickly.
